Print Based Studio

Denise Jane Portrait Design is a print based studio, formally trained in photography and printmaking.  Photography was created to be printed.  Its an exposure of light, meant to be printed.  Only when it's printed does it truly becomes a tangible reminder of that relationship, that feeling, that moment in time.  It's truly captured forever.  She takes pride in delivering her photography through print media insuring the longevity of the moments she captures.

According to a nationwide survey conducted by Professional Photographers of America (PPA). 67% of survey respondents store their photos solely on a computer or phone!

This is alarming.  Why?

  • In 2014 4.5 million lost or stolen mobile phones and only 33% of people say they actively back up photos and data on their phones.
  • A Technological mishap can happen in the blink of an eye.  Accidental pushes of a button, computer crashes, coffee spills, water damage, power surges, lost memory cards, USB drives or CD/DVD's, Malware or faulty cords just to name a few. 
  • Online Photo Storage Problems-Costly subscriptions, hardware or Wi-Fi access.
  • Technology evolves rapidly  making future access unpredictable-maybe even impossible.
  • Some storage services only save lower resolution files, limiting print quality and size. 
  • Tangible History disappears.  Future generations will have difficulty knowing us because there won't be a tangible photo history of our lives nor theirs.

Some alarming statistics to think about.  

  • 53% haven't printed a photo in more than 12 months. 
  • 24 % don't recall the last time they printed.
  • 70% of people don't have photo albums.
  • 42% no longer print photos at all.
