Portraits are a tangible celebration of family pride. 

When family members talk to me about their portraits, they describe an overwhelming sense of pride. 

Their portraits bring them joy, and renewed connection each time they see it. 

Honoring your commitment to serve should't be reserved for retirement or funerals. 

It should be honored today and shared with those you love most. 

I asked several active duty service members, veterans, police officers and first responders what comes to mind when they think about their careers and time spent serving. 

Here are some of the things they said.

Selfless, Courage, Devotion, Sacrifice, Bravery. 

Protect, Dedicated, Compassionate, Family, Honorable.

"Those who suffer together, stay together."   

"You're part of a family you never knew you had."

"You experience things that test your limits."   

"You learn things about yourself, that you wouldn't otherwise have known."

A Loyal Brotherhood.   

An unbreakable bond that transcends time and distance. 

Persevere the SUCK. 

Sacrifice. 

Experience true leadership in the face of harships.

Learn respect for all people. 

A greater appreciation for your family, you're away form them for years. 

Brotherhood.  There isn't another bond greater than two Marines, whether they served together or not.
